Toyota Fortuner receives minor update for 2014

Toyota Indonesia has launched an updated version of the popular Toyota Fortuner. It's still pretty much the same as the current one except for a few changes and additions. This is actually the 3rd update we've seen and we may expect a completely new model by 2015.

For 2014, the Fortuner gets a set of trendy LED daytime running lights on its front bumper. The TRD trim level which hasn't been made available yet in our country now sports a black grille instead of the standard chrome grille and new alloy wheels.

Inside, the Fortuner gets a new entertainment system which includes a DVD player. Other than that, there are no other changes inside the Fortuner.

As to when this updated model will be released locally, no announcement yet from Toyota Philippines. We can also expect a completely new model by 2015.

The Toyota Fortuner is part of Toyota's IMV lineup which stands for "Innovative Multipurpose Vehicle" together with the Innova and Hilux. The Toyota Fortuner competes with the Mitsubishi Montero Sport, Ford Everest, Chevrolet Trailblazer, and the Hyundai Santa Fe.
