Toyota launches Wigo subcompact

After a few weeks of teasers on the internet, Toyota Motor Philippines Inc. finally launched the all-new Toyota Wigo in Cebu City. The Philippines is the second country to receive the Wigo after Indonesia where it is known as the Agya.

The Toyota Wigo is available in both 1.0G and 1.0E variants. The Wigo has one engine which is a 1.0L three cylinder engine with 64 hp and 85 Nm of torque. It is mated to either a 5-speed manual transmission or 4-speed automatic transmission.

It features on the exterior multi-reflector halogen headlights, foglights, 14-inch alloy wheels for the G variant, 13-inch steel wheels with covers for the E variant and chrome accents on the G variant.

Inside, the Wigo is simple. It features a black interior with fabric seats and a touch-screen display for the G variant.

Other features include ABS, power windows, electric power steering, dual airbags and remote locks which are standard across all variants.

The all-new Toyota Wigo is priced at an affordable Php 448,000 for the 1.0E M/T, Php 499,000 for the 1.0G M/T and Php 534,000 for the 1.0G A/T. Toyota expects to sell at least 500 units every month.
