Ford launched new EcoSport in PH


Ford Philippines launched yesterday its first B-segment SUV, the all-new Ford EcoSport. The Ford EcoSport is a whole new model for Ford and is based on the Ford Fiesta subcompact. It is also the first B-segment SUV to be launched in the Philippine market.

The Ford EcoSport will be available with three variants namely Titanium, Trend and Ambiante. All variants of the EcoSport are powered by a 1.5L four-cyliner engine with 108 horsepower and 142 Nm of torque and is available with either a 6-speed automatic transmission for the Titanium and Trend variants or a 5-speed manual transmission for the Trend and Ambiente variants.

Outside, the EcoSport has multi-reflector halogen headlights, front foglights, a large bottom front grille, 16-inch alloy wheels and surprisingly a rear spare tire case which other car companies are now getting rid of.

Inside, the Ford EcoSport features a black interior that is similar to the Ford Focus and Ford Fiesta.

Other features include push button start with smart entry, Ford SYNC, chilled glove compartment and a sunroof.

The all-new Ford EcoSport is priced at Php 975,000 for the Titanium, Php 875,000 for the Trend A/T, Php 825,000 for the Trend M/T and Php 775,000 for the Ambiente M/T.
